Tension Fabric Systems

W&Co’s range of tension fabric systems was the first in the UK and now has the widest selection of robust aluminium profiles for illuminated fabric face light boxes and non-illuminated tension fabric displays, making them the most adaptable of stretch fabric frame systems.

This enables us to offer solutions for all requirements and our tension fabric face systems can be custom made in various shapes, formats and sizes; covering complete walls, columns or recesses with one continuous frameless large format graphic creating vast and stunning visual effects.

The tension fabric display profiles come in various depths from slimmest 18mm deep unlit, or 32mm deep illuminated, up to a 150mm deep double sided tension fabric light box.

Custom shapes can also be produced utilising our wide range of tension fabric systems, including: complete fabric faced cubes, round discs, triangles; curved fronts, both convex and concave enabling them to be specifically fabricated to fit around corners or circular columns. With their lightweight tension fabric graphics and utilising a specially angled channel profile, these display systems can even be fixed facing downwards to create a stretch ceiling effect or an ambient lighting feature.

Other adaptations of the tension fabric soft signage system include: the flat-pack ‘kit’ system for easy transportation making them great for use at temporary locations such as exhibitions; the non-illuminated fabric frame and fabric banner stand when illumination is not required; and the acoustic fabric frame which has built-in sound absorbing material ideal for noise sensitive environments.

The tension fabric silicone edge graphics, which are stretched across the face of these displays, are printed onto various textile materials which can be changed quickly and easily. The textile graphics have a silicone rubber strip stitched to the edge which simply pushes into a channel around the front sides of the display frame profile. The fabric is held in place under tension once all sides have been pushed into the aluminium profile. As the tension fabric frame graphics are completely front loading these displays are ideal for recesses.

We print the fabric graphics using dye sublimation or UV printers onto a wide range of materials with different textures and thicknesses. If the tension fabric system is illuminated the fabric silicone edge graphic is printed onto a backlit textile with high light diffusion properties to ensure a very even distribution of light from edge-to-edge.
