Description
W&Co’s LED Light Sheet is now the 5th generation of the slim LED illuminated acrylic panels and the best ever brought to the market. They are more energy efficient, brighter and more evenly illuminated than ever before!
Our 5G LED Light Sheet can can be made up to largest size of 4m x 2.5m or we can supply the thinnest sheets from only 3mm thick!
The light panel is manufactured from a sheet of high quality clear PMMA acrylic with LEDs fitted along 1, 2 or 4 sides of the panel, depending on the size of the panel and the brightness required.
Bright and uniform light distribution across the whole illuminated sheet is ensured because the face of the acrylic is etched with a unique grid pattern which refracts the light outwards.
To optimise the light output, the LED light sheet also has a reflective white backing sheet on the rear to ensure as much available light is refracted out of the front as possible.
Various colour temperatures are available for the LED light sheet as they can be fitted with warm white through to cool white LEDs (from 2700k to 6500k). It can also be supplied with RGB colour changing LEDs, and RGBW LEDs that can be white or a colour.
If more control over the brightness is required to create more subtle lighting effects then the LED light sheets can be supplied with a dimmable controller so the light can be adjusted to the preferred level.
The LED light sheet offers a long and maintenance free lifespan as they are made with high quality durable electrical components and are thermally managed by an integrated heat sink. The life expectancy of the LEDs used in the light panel is over 50,000 hours, which equates to circa 11 years usage based upon 12 hours usage per day.
As well as longevity, the LED light sheet is also very energy efficient, as you would expect from an LED illuminated product from W&Co. With their high quality LEDs, efficient electrical components and low voltage DC power supply, they offer significant energy savings in comparison to traditional lighting methods.
As standard the LED light sheet is made for indoor usage and is IP54 rated, however, they can also be made for outdoor applications and can be supplied as IP67… they can even be illuminated by solar power!
The LED Light Sheet is a very versatile product, it can be made double sided and they can be cut to specific sizes and shapes, including irregular and curved – some are even flexible.
Offering bright and even illumination, the illuminated panels can be used for a variety of different lighting applications. These include: various transparent and translucent materials including acrylic, decorative or frosted glass, stone (e.g. onyx, marble, alabaster), of course they can be used for backlighting graphics, or even as a standalone lighting source.
