Waitrose Light Boxes
Beauty Shines Brighter with Thin LED Lightboxes at Waitrose
Custom made thin LED lightboxes were supplied to the Waitrose flag ship store in Canary Wharf, the largest Waitrose shop in the UK, as part of its latest refurbishment to give it a fresh new modern look.
The Razor LED light boxes were used in Waitrose’s first ever health and beauty department offering perfumes and colognes alongside other well known beauty products. The prestigious LED light boxes were positioned at the end of the gondolas to illuminate the product promotions and raise brand awareness. The slimline LED lightboxes were chosen because of their even light output and their superior build quality which suited the supermarket’s high quality brand image.
The sleek light box has fantastic homogenous light distribution and high brightness compared to other thin LED lightboxes and there are no etched lines or markings on the lighting panel to show through onto the graphic which is important for the beauty brands’ and the supermarket’s high standards.
The ultra slim depth of the lightbox (only 26mm) means it takes up minimal space and doesn’t project far from the gondolas. The snap frame front profile ensures the backlit graphic can be changed easily be the store’s visual merchandising staff.
Waitrose’s Managing Director, Mark Price, commented on the refurbishment saying, “The branch won awards when it was built nearly ten years ago, and this transformation will underline its status as our flagship shop and as a major shopping destination in its own right.” W&Co was proud to have been invited to assist in the successful revamp of the flagship store and the endorsement of our LED light boxes being used by the upmarket supermarket chain.
