Dogs Trust Outdoor Signs
New external signage leads to more brand visibility
Outdoor signs were supplied by W&Co to various Dogs Trust sites around the UK, including their Head Office in London. The brief was to increase brand awareness at the different locations. Dogs Trust has bright yellow and black brand colours, so fitting of external signage was seen as the perfect solution.
Firstly at the Head Office, Dogs Trust required signs to help them be seen from the road. A bright yellow sign tray with black flat cut letters and logo was fixed above the entrance doors. A matching yellow trough light was mounted above the sign to ensure the sign was seen in the evenings.
The head office has columns along the outside of the building and they were seen as a good opportunity to fix signs to so they could be seen from along the street. Therefore, a series of projection type signs were produced to fit either side of the column and create brand visibility from much further away.
Thereafter, outside of London, Dogs Trust sites required outdoor signs to be larger, illuminated, cost effective and easy to maintain. The best solution to achieve all these requirements was deemed to be the installation of illuminated flex face signs. Initially a sample was made for Dogs Trust to approve the brightness and colour. Subsequent to this a series of flex face signs were produced at different sizes to suit the building they were to be fitted to.
Lastly W&Co installed the outdoor signs outside normal working hours to keep disruption to a minimum. All of the flex faces were produced and the installations took place within a few weeks. The overall look was bright, very eye catching and perfectly matched the client’s brief.
